ISO 9001-2000 Certified System

CHiL Semiconductor is committed to delivering the highest quality products possible to customers. Our Quality Management System is based on the strict requirements as specified by ISO 9001-2000 certification guidelines. This system ensures that each of our products and services are managed, controlled and assured according to the highest global standards.

ISO 9000 is the logical choice for CHiL Semiconductor because of its global orientation and support by national standards bodies from more than 120 countries. We are committed to final certification of all CHiL Semiconductor processes in 2008, which are integrated into everything we do including:

  • Reliability engineering
  • Quality manuals and procedures
  • Training
  • Continuous quality improvement programs
  • Supplier certifications
  • Product change notifications and failure analysis requests

Reliability Engineering

CHiL Semiconductor designs reliability into our products starting from the product development phase right through manufacturing. Best-in-class suppliers and partners are selected based on their commitment to quality and reliability. Every device receives a full round of qualification tests including ESD, Elevated Temperature Stress Tests, and Wear-out Characterization, to name a few. In addition, Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT) is employed on all products and JESD22 standards and test methods are followed.

Environmental Policy and RoHS

An important aspect of CHiL Semiconductor’s quality philosophy is a strong commitment to environmentally-sound manufacturing processes. All of our products are Lead (Pb) free, an increasingly important factor in modern electrical design. In our continuing effort to do more, we are working closely with suppliers and distributors in support of the European Union’s Directive on the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS). Following RoHS guidelines, CHiL Semiconductor restricts the presence of specific toxic substances, thereby reducing the environmental impact of discarding such products at the end of their useful life.

As of July 1, 2006, the RoHS Directive significantly restricts the use of Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium and two bromine-containing flame retardants. CHiL Semiconductor is committed to complying with this Directive. We are working with partners to evaluate the latest restrictions, identify relevant exemptions, and to substitute environmentally-benign alternative materials in our product components and manufacturing processes.
