Product and Test Engineer

Description:

Provides engineering support for assigned product lines to ensure functionality, quality, cost, and schedule.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develops and maintains ATE platforms to support CHiL driver and power product needs.
  • Supports and improves existing CHIL controller product needs.
  • Support ongoing production needs including lot management, yield improvement and test time reduction.
  • Ensures device performance to meet customer needs and cost structure to support business goals. Key metrics include product yield, ATE test time
  • Meets development schedule and documents results in a consistent and timely fashion.
  • Ensures the technical management of offshore resources. Interacts with off-shore engineering development support to ensure thorough documentation, comprehensive standard correlation and statistical evaluation. Ensures performance goals are met.
  • Sustains and improves factors that affect cost and manufacturability; including a routine awareness of product health and ongoing projects to reduce cost or improve yield and performance as business demands.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) with 3-5 years of related industry experience required. MS in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Understanding of semiconductor transistor level electrical design is required. Specific experience in Power is preferred.
  • Understanding of semiconductor wafer fabrication is preferred.
  • Coding experience in a high level language is required C/C++ (preferred). Verilog, BASIC, Assembler, etc are desirable
  • Design simulation tools such as SPICE/PSPICE, Matlab, etc. are an asset
  • Schematic entry tools such as DX Designer or CAD are an asset
  • Soldering and practical experience with assembling electronic circuits is an asset.
  • General fluency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, Project is required.
  • Job requires substantial travel and frequent evening teleconference meetings to interact with offshore engineering development support
  • Good written and oral English communication skills are required
  • Candidates with proficiency in Mandarin are preferred.
  • Must be analytical and detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
