Ram Sudireddy - Founder, President and CEO
Ram Sudireddy leads the CHiL Semiconductor team with nearly two decades of semiconductor experience, including the co-founding, development and successful acquisition of Cimaron Communications by AMCC in 1999. He is an experienced entrepreneur with a specialty in building strong leadership teams and creating leading edge products in exceptionally short timeframes. His vision is to position and lead CHiL Semiconductor to be the leading power management IC solution provider.
Most recently, Ram was Senior VP and GM at AMCC’s Framer Products Division. Prior to that, he successfully co-founded and was the CEO at Cimaron Communications and held key Design Engineering positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories.
Ram holds a BSEE from Nagarjuna University in India as well as an MS in Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Sonovi Technologies, a provider of business continuity software products.
Dr. Praveen K. Jain - Founder and Chief Technology Officer
As a recognized expert in the power management field, Dr. Praveen Jain is the innovator behind CHiL Semiconductor’s multiphase transient response techniques. He continues to pioneer new architecture solutions guiding mixed signal power management in the Desktop, Server and Notebook processor power areas. Praveen leverages his AC/DC and multiphase DC/DC expertise to bring system level computing solutions to the marketplace which meet or exceed emerging energy efficient power system requirements.
Praveen is presently a faculty member at Queens University in Kingston, Canada, where he is a holder of the prestigious Canada Research Chair in Power Electronics. He has been recognized as a Fellow in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), as well as in the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) and the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE). The author of over 350 technical papers, Praveen holds 30 patents in the field.
Praveen holds several degrees including a BE with Honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Allahabad in India as well as a MASc and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada.
Bob Carroll - Vice President of Engineering
As the leader of CHiL Semiconductor’s Systems and Design Engineering teams, Bob Carroll guides product development and implementation by leveraging his expertise in pioneering multiphase and high density POL digital power management IC’s. His overarching strategy is to mix high speed, precise analog blocks with leading edge digital algorithms to provide CHiL Semiconductor’s flexible system and cost optimized power management solutions.
Prior to CHiL Semiconductor, Bob was VP of Engineering at Vicor and was a leading innovator in their VIChip product line. He previously served as CTO and VP of Engineering for Primarion. He has also held senior management positions in semiconductors and communications at both The MITRE Corporation and at Hughes Aircraft Company.
Bob earned a BSEE from Northeastern University as well as an MBA from the University of Southern California.
Don Desbiens - Vice President of Technology and Operations
Don Desbiens collaborates with development partners to optimize process, assembly and test techniques to insure that CHiL Semiconductor’s technology roadmap provides highly reliable, high quality, cost-effective silicon solutions. Working with leading wafer fabs and ATE companies, Don ensures that CHiL Semiconductor’s products quickly ramp to high volume production with the highest quality standards.
Don served as VP of Worldwide Technology Development for Fairchild Semiconductor. Prior to that, he held various senior management positions at National Semiconductor in Process Development, EDA, and Device Development.
He holds a BA in Physics from Middlebury College as well as an MS in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Larry Spaziani - Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
A field-tested power management veteran, Larry Spaziani is using his deep knowledge of systems and ICs, and his customer centric attitude, to position CHiL Semiconductor’s innovative mixed signal technology within major markets in the power management arena. His primary charter is insuring that CHiL Semiconductor customers’ requirements are met with exceptional system-level value.
Larry joins CHiL Semiconductor from Texas Instruments, where he held various positions including Director of High Performance Analog Business Development in the EMEA market, Product Line Manager; Power Supply Control Products, and FAE Manager. Larry also served as an Application Engineer with Unitrode, and as a power supply design Engineer at Raytheon and Data General.
Larry holds BSEE and MSEE degrees, from Boston University.
John LoMedico - Vice President of Worldwide Sales
John LoMedico insures that CHiL Semiconductor can immediately provide exceptional sales and service to major OEM and ODM customers in the North American and Asia-Pacific markets. John and his team continue to expand the global channel with world class sales, distribution and FAE teams to support CHiL Semiconductor’s mixed signal power management portfolio.
Prior to joining CHiL Semiconductor, John was VP of Business Development, and earlier, VP of Marketing at AMCC. He joined AMCC after the successful acquisition of Cimaron Communications, where he was the VP of Sales and Marketing. John also held sales and marketing roles with National Semiconductor.
John holds a BA from the University of New Hampshire as well as an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston.
Marc Jones - Vice President of Finance
Marc Jones oversees CHiL Semiconductor’s Finance and Administration activities, which include all aspects of business process, human resources, legal and intellectual property.
Marc comes to CHiL Semiconductor from Picis where he was the VP of Business Operations and Transformation, and earlier managed Corporate Finance and Field Operations. Prior to Picis, he held key finance positions at iBasis and at Imaging Automation. Marc is an adjunct faculty member in Finance and Accounting at New England College.
Marc holds a BS in Finance and Economics at Southern New Hampshire University as well as an MS in Finance from Northeastern University.
